GMAT Facts
In most cases, the test is computer-based. This means that you are taking the test on a computer rather than on paper. This speeds up the whole process and eliminates various factors such as a potential bias of the person correcting the test. However, in countries where computer usage has not reached Western standards yet, it is possible that the test takes place in a written form.
As of writing these lines, it costs 250 US dollars to take the GMAT.
The test measures three different aspects of the test taker. The ultimate goal is to evaluate and measure the current qualities of the examinee.
In case the native language of the examinee is not English, it is possible if not likely that his or her performance will not be as good as that of a native speaker with the same skill set due to a variety of reasons. Be assured that the test focuses on analytical and logical aspects and hereby does not measure any so-called soft skills.
Once you receive the score, it is valid for a period of five years. Your knowledge and skill level will change over time and this shall be reflected in the GMAT score.
